No Script for Genelia’s Movie?
There are not always easy rides for the actors in the entertainment industry. We often hear actors preparing for daring stunts and roles without the help of a dummy. Even leading ladies like Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan do not use dummies. However, the case about Genelia D’Souza is rather different. No, she is not into hazardous scenes like her other numbers but still this is probably the first time she has had an experience when she was ready for a project but the project was not. She was supposed to play a role in the Indian Film Company’s flick. However, due to non-availability of the script, the film has not yet taken off.
Vivek’s Dramas; Genelia’s Gains?
Vivek Oberoi has got a breather due to the so-so performance of ‘Prince’. It was not a hit, but the film did not fail either. Now that he is back in the groove, he is taking steps cautiously. Mani Ratnam’s ‘Bloody Paki’ is his next film and ‘Rakta Charitra’ being another.
Vivek is cast opposite Chitrangada Singh in ‘Bloody Paki’. However, Vivek is having problems with Chitrangada and wants another leading lady in place of her. Now, the problem for Vivek is that Chitrangada looks older than he does. Therefore, the filmmakers now have to replace Chitrangada with Genelia. Now, won’t you call this Genelia’s gains? However, still the lead-lady is to be finalized.
Genelia’s Success
There are many Tollywood actresses who first made it big in their own region and then made it a big big success in Bollywood. Like for example, there is Asin who was just limited to the South films before she made her mark in the B-town.
Genelia too made her efforts starting from the southern film industry. Starring in films like ‘Katha’ in Telugu, she is also a part of ‘Orange’. She played roles of a teacher and a student respectively. Genelia also got some good ads of reputed companies and is on a high these days. Fate has surely changed for Genelia – in the right way.
Genelia with Vijay
Genelia has once again turned her attention towards the Tamil films. After the success of Santosh Subramaniam, she will again be seen in another Tamil flick. Genelia will be the female lead for ‘Velayutham’, Vijay’s next. Jayam Raja, is the director and Aascar Ravichandran is the producer.
This is Genelia’s second film with Vijay. The first one was ‘Sachin’. There is some interesting news too. Hansika Motwani is another female who will also be seen in the lead. The hearsay is that ‘Velayutham’ is a remake of Nagarjuna’s hit ‘Azad’ which was way back in 2000, which was in turn inspired by the Big B’s ‘Main Azad Hoon’ in 1989.
Genelia, Ileana or Hansika Motwani?
Genelia is on a high these days. She is having good films both in the South as well as in Bollywood. Not only that, she has also got good brands to endorse that has lifted her image, but has also increased her purse. However, not all goes right every time. Now, what has gone wrong?
Well, nothing still. However, there is a competition of sorts between Genelia and other two beautiful women – Ileana and Hansika Motwani. The race between these three attractive looking women is for the lead female role. The film – Vijay’s next one will have any two of these three in the race. With Vijay’s previous two films a disaster, he will want to make sure he makes the right choice.
