The ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ lead lady who made her mark through this movie, has endorsed a fairness cream by Garnier. Garnier’s new product, ‘Garnier Light’, which is basically a skin lightning cream, will now be formally marketed by Genelia. The ever-cheerful Genelia, is an already well known face with the Virgin Mobile users. But now, she will be doing the new work of talking about ‘Garnier Light’.

However, the fairness cream bazaar is already overflowing with actresses from Bollywood who have endorsed such fairness creams. Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor all are brand ambassadors of companies like Johnson and Johnson, Olay and ‘L’Oreal respectively. All are saying that I am fair woman. All promise of great results by the use of this new lotion. How much will Genelia stand up to the expectations of her fans remains to be seen.

The Pearls broadcasting Corporation Ltd., Mumbai, has taken an initiative towards violence against women through an NGO called the ‘Pearls wave trust’. The Pearls broadcasting corporation declared its support for Pearls wave trust on 6th February 2010 at JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai. ‘Wave’ stands for ‘women against violence’. This platform works in creating a platform for violence or abuse against women in the community.

The Pearls broadcasting Corporation director Jyothi Narain has expressed thanks for the concerned Bollywood actors like Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan and Harman Baweja for their involvement in the initiative.

Last week an audio visual of the pearls program was released. It had photos and messages of our Bollywood Goddess Genelia D’Souza. She was expressing her pretty grin on her face enthralling men and empowering women. She expressed her concern for the abuse of women in the community by participating in the event and making a message.

The Virgin Mobiles has made Genelia D’Souza, the raising heartthrob of Bollywood, its brand ambassador. Besides Genelia, Ranbir Kapoor also has joined the promotion campaign as the new brand ambassador for Virgin Mobiles. Genelia attended a photo shoot for the movie ‘Chance Pe Dance’ at Bangalore palace. She has made some gorgeous pictures over the 1935 vintage Mercedes for the photo shoot.

Describing the incident in twitter, she says that she and Ranbir are the new brand ambassadors of Virgin Mobiles and they had an elaborate fab opening. The actress informed this to the people of the print after the photo shoot for the movie ‘Chance Pe Dance’ in Bangalore.

Genelia also recently signed up as a new face for Garnier. Though Genelia has given few failures after Jaane Tu.., the corporates don’t mind it owing to her young and youthful personality. They don’t mix her failures with her youthful image. It is said that she charges Rs.1.5 crores for an ad next only to Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka.

A deeply devoted Roman Catholic Genelia D’souza was born on 5th August into a Mangalorean Catholic family and was raised in the Bandra suburb of Mumbai. Her mothers Jeanette D’Souza was formerly a Secretary to Managing Director with a Pharma MNC, while her father Neil D’Souza, is a senior official with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Informally called as Geenu, D’Souza studied at the Apostolic Carmel High School in Bandra and later joined St. Andrew’s College in Bandra to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree of Management Studies. Her completion of her degree came while shooting for her first film, Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. Her likes include sports and studies in college, and she was also a State level athlete, sprinter, and a National level Football player. She began her career in modeling with her first modeling assignment at the age of 15. This Konkani girl was selected for the Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan, with which she hit the lime-light. She further did a Fair and Lovely 2003 Cricket World Cup advertisement with cricketer K.Srikkanth.

We like to start the New Year with a resolution. Irrespective of our past failures we get set to start the New Year with a new spirit and confidence. The resolutions reflect our personality and goals in life. But Genelia seems to think the other way around. She doesn’t like making New Year resolutions. At least she has not yet framed any New Resolution for the year 2010. She just likes to enjoy her days as they are. She feels that by taking resolutions we create extra-pressure on our mind and body. So, it’s better to live without a resolution. Then there is a better chance of enjoying the twists and turns of the life to its fullest. Well, all said and done, we believe that Genelia has avoided a New Year resolution just because to avoid the confusions of Bollywood and Kollywood. Well guys, don’t bite your nails. Your cutie Genelia has not declared a war against Asin yet. I am just trying to see who is better placed between duos from the Bollywood perspective.
